Entourage Season 5

By bskag001

This review is from IGN.com

"After the disastrous bombing of Medellin from the previous season, Vince finds himself in serious trouble with his career. Going from an A-list actor to someone who's having trouble landing any role was not an easy transition for Vincent Chase. His bad luck was the primary theme throughout the season along with the pursuit of a role in a movie called Smokejumpers.

With several setbacks, it seemed like things would never turn around for Vince. From being used as leverage for roles for other people or being fired from the set of a movie, we get to see a side of Vince we haven't seen until now. While he manages to keep a positive attitude for the most part, there are episodes where you see his patience wearing thin, and you definitely see Vince with far less self-confidence that we've seen from him in previous seasons.

The real reason to watch Entourage is to see Ari Gold in action, and Jeremy Piven does not disappoint with another season of Emmy-worthy performances as Vince's over-the-top agent. Ari has some great development moment of his own, with a studio job offer that he seemingly can't refuse. Even while being offered his dream job, Ari still tries to look out for Vince. One of the most fascinating aspects about Ari is that despite being a sleazy slimy Hollywood agent, he still has a heart, and his concern for Vince is genuine and personal. We get to see Ari fight for Vince's career - wheeling and dealing to try to land something positive for Vince throughout the season. His best moments were probably reserved for one of the later episodes titled "Play'n With Fire," where he has a hilariously memorable confrontation with the director of Smokejumpers.

As has been the case for the last couple of seasons, we get to see more positive growth for Eric, who's become more and more confident and seems to finally be getting some real success with his own agency. While he's not the center of attention for most episodes, he does get a couple of standout moments including a confrontation with his nemesis Seth Green and surprise visit to former girlfriend Sloan.

- HBODrama is even more obnoxious than before and there are several moments where he's downright unlikeable. From potentially breaking Turtle's hopes for a relationship to an on-camera meltdown on The View to being arrested after breaking up with his girlfriend, Drama's neurotic charm wore very thin this season.

Turtle, on the other hand, finally finds a girlfriend with some lasting potential. Former Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler has some fantastic on-screen chemistry with Turtle, and this is a relationship with some interesting long term potential for Turtle. It's a nice move for a character that really doesn't get much attention compared to the other three.

Featuring some shocking ups and down, this was a season full of surprises. From Ari's potential dream job to Vince's struggles in landing a legitimate role proved to be yet another exciting rollercoaster ride for the friends. With all the drama surrounding Smokejumpers we're also treated to an insider look at what the business side of Hollywood might really be like. With so much happening, Season 5 turned out to be another solid series of episodes for one of HBO's best dramas."

Entourage Season 4

By bskag001

The first episode of season 4 is documentary style about the making of Medellin. It shows the troubles of shooting the film and the continued curse of the film. After filming E and Billy Walsh continue their fighting and it gets even more controversial after the Medellin trailer is leaked onto Youtube. Walsh blames E for this. The leak, however, gets the Medellin dreamteam, Vince, Walsh, and E, their new job.

E decides to go into unknown waters and get a new client in Anna Faris. This does not turn out so well being that his loyalty is ultimately with Vince and he cannot ruin Vince's career.

The rest of the gang, Drama and Turtle, get into their usual troubles, usually involving marijuana and women. Ari has trouble getting his son into the school of his choice, and he does everything in his power to get him in.

The last episode of the season the whole gang is in Canne to try and sell their film Medellin to the highest bidder. The film ultimately bombs and gets sold for $1.

Piven on Letterman

By bskag001

I realize this is kind of late, but here his a clip of Jeremy Piven on Letterman from October 2008...

Entourage continues this season with Vince having a new agent for the first time since Ari. Amanda, Vince's new agent, tries to steer Vince away from Medellin even though she knows this is the movie that he wants. After Ari brings up that Medellin is available again Vince tells Amanda that he wants to hold off on any other project until they find out about Medellin. After Vince finds out that Medellin has slipped through his hands once again he questions Amanda. After being fired by her Vince goes back to Ari after he got Vince the rights to the movie of his dreams. They sign Billy Walsh again to direct and they leave for filming.

Also during the season Drama's celebrity rises as his show Five Towns becomes a hit, and Turtle really doesn't have a huge impact. Turtle instead does his normal driving the gang around and somking his weed.

The third season starts out with the premiere of Aquaman, which is very successful. Vince also lans his dream movie Medellin. Just when things seem to be going just the way vince and the gang want them to a scheduling conflict with Aquaman 2 and Medellin occurs and when Alan won't give Vince the days he needs to do Medellin, him and Vince can't come to an agreement and Vince get fired.

There is good news, however. Drama finally gets work. He lands a job for Ed Burns t.v. series Five Towns. After being in a boutique agency Ari partners with Barbera Miller to set up a big agency known as the Miller Gold Agency.

Even though E has to deal with all of Vince and Ari's dramas the main storyline around him is with Sloan. He has a threesome with her and her friend Torrie, and begins to have feelings for Torrie. He also has to deal with Seth Green always bringing up a "relationship" he had with Sloan.

Turtle seems to be doing well with his rapper Saigon, but when Siagon doesn't show up to his record deal Turtle has to go find him. When Turtle finally does, he finds out that Saigon has signed with someone else and is bought out. The season ends with Ari being fired by Vince.

Entourage Season 2

By bskag001

This season of Entourage has more going on than the first. In this season Vince tries to convince James Cameron, the director of Aquaman, that he is correct for the leading role as Aquaman. At first he has it, then he doesn't. He finally ends up getting the part, but it is not as easy as everyone would like it to be. An old romantic flame of Vince, Mandy Moore, is chosen as the leading lady. She ends her engagement to rekindle what she had with Vince only to leave him again to return to her ex. Drama keeps trying to find work as an actor while Turtle is beginning to have some success finding a rapper in Saigon. The big story other than Aquaman revolves around E and Ari. Ari gets fired from his agency by Terrance McQuewick, while E starts dating Sloan Mcquewick, Terrances daughter. Instead of going with the agency Vince decides to stay with Ari.
